Description
Scenario:
- A countrywide TV channel broadcasts an OTA EPG.
- A regional version of that channel (containing a regional news section) does not broadcast an OTA EPG.
- Both channels are one the same satellite mux.
- Use the regional channel with the countrywide EPG
- Hide the countrywide channel.
- Disabled the countrywide channel.
- Enabled the reginal channel and configured "Reuse EPG from" the countrywide channel.
- The regional channel will initially show EPG data (if the countrywide channel was enabled before) but this will not be updated as soon as the countrywide channel is disabled.
- Make the grabber update EPG data for disabled channels serving as a source for other channels configured via "Reuse EPG from".

I don't like this proposal. Create a hidden channel list (use tags or channel number ranges in ACL to filter these channels for the frontend).

Fair enough. In my view, the main problem is that it is currently possible to create a dysfunctional configuration. What about inhibiting "Reuse EPG from" entries pointing to disabled channels, and preventing disabling a channel as long as there are "Reuse EPG from" entries pointing to it?
