Bug #3789
EPG priorities (XMLTV vs over-the-air) do not prevent blanked out episode information
100%
Description
I need OTA EPG information to supplement XMLTV. tv_grab_uk_rt is great and provides Episode info, but it lacks newer channels like channel5.com/spike.
So I configured an EPG feed for UK: Freesat with priority 5.
XMLTV: UK (Radio Times) has priority 13.
Running the XMLTV grabber populates EPG info with Episodes, for 2 weeks. Yay!
Subsequently starting the EIT grabber blanks out all Episode info for the upcoming week (OTA EPG is only 1 week ahead).
The log shows that fields are updated:

Yes 10 is prefered over 5. The grabber priorities allows to have an EPG backup.The EPG information is not merged in the current implementation (but it was before). The merging does not allow complete event replacements / updates.
Note: I like the fact that EPG is merged, but I observe that useful info is blanked, and the priority is either ignored or works different from the quote.

- Subject changed from EPG priorities (XMLTV vs over-the-air) do now prevent blanked out episode information to EPG priorities (XMLTV vs over-the-air) do not prevent blanked out episode information
Updated title..
Also you may want to stop using the radiotimes grabber, use the atlas grabber instead :p
or possibly switch to webgrab++.
