Description

Regarding the TVHeadend (web interface) EPG, Filter Content Type - I can select certain content type, News etc
But it would be great to be able to edit showing certain types. i.e. when I'm searching for a documentary, instruct it not to include News, Game Shows etc.

The reason is that documentaries can be in various classifications, some do not have any type listed, but they are not typically in News, Shows, and Sport. So if I could search for anything except News, Shows, and Sport I would come up with a more useful list.

(Like Channels, I can classify them myself - Good, Not so Good, Bad and Ugly.)

Many thanks ...

I agree that this would be a very useful feature.

At the moment the content type function in the EPG is basically none-functional because of throwing away the EPG provider's content types in preference of it's own hard-coded list. This wouldn't be such a big problem, except that the hard coded list results in it being a toss-up as to if a Sitcom will end up in "Shows / Game Shows" or "Movies / Dramas". The sorting method is both overly broad, and entirely opaque to the user. Searching by content type does not produce functional results on a live system.

It would be a vast improvement is the content type list was user configured, and EPG provider mappings were user editable.
