Hello people,

i have some problems with my TVheadend and timeshift.
If i try to stop my stream with VLC, and play it again, the Stream will be freez.
What can i do?

You do not use timeshift. Pause in VLC HTTP live streaming causes that the internal buffers in tvh will overflow and data will be lost.

Use kodi and pvr.hts .

Why do I then enter the location for TimeShift in tvh?
I have more then a TB free disk space and 5 gb free Ram.
But I would to try Kodi.

The timeshift buffer is HTSP only it isn't used for HTTP streaming.

Okay. I find this tutorial for VLC with the HTSP-plug-in.
Its work fine. I can use timeshift with Kodi and VLC.

Although the tut is two years old, but its work with VLC 2.2.1

:) Forgot to mention that there is an old htsp plugin for vlc, I'm surprised it still works with newer vlc versions!
