Description

From 2 or 3 weeks (I don't remember the last working build) there is a problem with the filenames of recorded files.

For exemple for the file:
- Title: Les îles du futur Samso
- Subtitle : l'électricité alternative

It will be recorded as "Les ^iles du futur Samso _ l''electricit'e alternative 2015-12-05.mkv" with format string $t $s %F.$x

So "î" become "^i", "é" become "'e"...

I am using the filename options "Remove all unsafe characters from filename" and "Use Windows-compatible filenames"
The titles and subtitles are OK in the EPG tab and I can display filenames with accents in my system (Raspberry Pi).

What's your 'filename character set' settings ?

The command $LANG gives me "en_GB.UTF-8"

No, the settings in the TVH 'Digital Video Recording Profiles' - like the options you noted in the description. TVH has own language / character set settings.

Ah sorry, it's ASCII

  • Status changed from New to Invalid

Then you get what you set... TVH converts filename to ASCII. Set this value to UTF8.
