TVHeadend won't let me log in...

Description
Hi, I've used TVH for a long time, but now I've installed it on Debian 8 and initially I could log in and set everything up. But now i want to change something and it doesn't let me into the webgui even though I used the correct name/password. I am sure I did, I checked in the superusers file...
I've done a re-install, a purge and a reinstall, a reconfigure, deleted the HTS account folder followed by a reconfigure etc... all with the same result...
Anyone have a clue to why this is happening?

Try to start tvheadend with the -C option, so you can access without authentication. Then you can check your settings

I did that, and the first time it worked, now it doesn't anymore??? It still doesn't let me log in with the right credentials...
BTW, it's a clean install of Debian 8 Jessie, kernel 3.16.0-4-amd64
Tell me if you need some more info.

xbmc connects and plays tv... Then I open 127.0.0.1:9981, it asks me for a name/password even though I started with the -C option, output:

Try "--noacl" option, then change your password and try without this permissive option.

Starting with: 'tvheadend --noacl' worked! I have no clue why it didn't work before, as I could log in the first time, change the name/password and see them change in the 'superuser' file. So now I am a happy camper again!
I do have some general remarks though, but I will post then in the appropriate forum. In hindsight I think I should've posted this one there too, sorry for that.

Note that '--noacl' is not for standard usage (if you want use the users/passwords). The access checks are bypassed with this option.
