It should work (save empty icon URL). Or you may select multiple channels and use 'Reset icon' button on top to do it automatically.

Nope. picons keep coming back with Reset icon as well.

Update:

When running tvheadend as a fresh install as user graham, I don't get the picon urls automatically, but I don't get the file urls automatically either. Manual changes to the User icon field do stick, though.

Update2: after restarting tvh as hts then restarting as graham, picons came back.

Note that if the filename does not exists, the URL (picon or name based) is always created (depending on the preference set in the global settings). The icon filename must exists. If you create the filename, the new icon reset should detect it.

Got it, thanks. It would be easier to understand if it did put the file name there even if it didn't exist. The picons don't exist either. I thought that's how it went with the earlier version but maybe it didn't. Sorry to bother you.
