Description

Hi. I'm in Argentina, and we've recently started getting digital broadcasts using SATVD/SBTVD. This is a standard first used in Brasil and based on the Japanese ISDB-T, but updated to use H264 for video and HE-AAC v1@L2 for audio.
I'm using a MyGica S870 USB tuner that's supported by v4l-dvb and exposes itself as a DVB adapter, by building v4l from svn.
I've got tvheadend half working by creating the muxes by hand using data taken from the channels.conf that I use with vlc (created running scan using ch_freqs.conf for isdb-t).
Video is working but audio is not, I guess it's because of the audio standard used?
This standard has been selected by most countries in South America and I'd love to see tvheadend support it.
I'm attaching the ch_freqs.conf used, my current channels.conf and a tar with the muxes I wrote.
Can you let me know what extra info is needed to get it fully working?

It would be great if it works with isdb!!!

I think I´ve discovered the problem. Some problem envolving streaming to XBMC. I´ve tried playing in streaming to VLC and It´s recognized correctly the audio codec. However when I´ve recorded a stream in XBMC and tryed to play in VLC It´s no audio.

I know this thread is fairly old, but this might help: I was setting up Media Portal TV Server in Brazil about 2 years ago, and came across the same issue - video was fine, but no audio. Or, the video stream would start and there would be a burst (miliseconds) of audio, and then nothing. The issue was with Monogram AAC decoder which used a different version to the standard: see link http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/problem-with-monogram-aac-decoder-on-hd-tv-playback.85374/page-2#post-650211

This was specific to HD channels in Brazil, and used a modified Monogram DLL, which is included in this URL from user DucaSP.

Sorry if this is not relevant, but I am about to start on a TVheadend server in Brazil, and will be hoping to use the ISDB-T cards as well as DVB-S/S2.

I'm closing this, the original report is quite old and later posts suggest this is a problem in XBMC not TVH. Also there are known issues with audio in the MKV files and this will get looked at. May relate to #321.
