Description

I am on 3.9.1296 and I must say that TVH has become VERY stable from the releases 3.9.1294 and later. I have been running 3.9.1296 for 2-3 days now without any crashes or other problems. Very good indeed! :-)

I see this log message in the TVH log. Does that indicate a problem?

"2014-08-17 10:23:40.433 epggrab: EIT: DVB Grabber - data completion timeout for 11261H in THOR"

I am using the "EIT: DVB grabber" module.

I have tested with various settings (from 100-900 seconds) in the field "EPG scan timeout in seconds" under the Configuration->Channel/EPG->EPG Grabber tab but no difference.

Are these timeouts due to a bug in the EPG-grabber or something else with the over-the-air EPG reception?

TVH tries to gather the data from all relevant tables, but it appears that some transponders / muxes do not transmit all table IDs (blame probably encoders). The time limit prevents to stay in one mux too long. The value 900 (15 minutes) should be enough to collect all EPG data.
