Description

So glad that the daily crashes that I had reported about in ticket #2180, https://tvheadend.org/issues/2180) has been fixed and no more continuity counter errors as well. Great!

However, I have noticed that in this release 3.9.1095 (as well as some few releases before this one) that the EPG grabbers utilizes all my 8 tuners during startup for a couple of minutes.
This causes XBMC to "think" that TVH is not running since XBMC does not get fast enough responses from TVH and I can even get TVH to crash during this startup time if I try to switch channels in XBMC.

If I leave TVH running alone for the first few minutes and wait until I see that the EPG grabbers (I am using EIT only) has stopped updating and that only one tuner is busy with EPG update I can start XBMC and switch channels without problems. After this startup period TVH (and XBMC) runs nice and smooth and I havenĀ“t had a crash (yet) for 24 hours even with heavy channel switch testing.

No continuity counter errors either so I am quite happy with this release. :-)

Looks like we can close this issue.

I do not see this issue any more from release 3.9.1133. :-)
