Description

I'd like to enter recordings by manually specifying channel, start, end and name. Preferably without Javascript, so I can use tvbrowser and some glue code to schedule recordings.

If you want to do this without javascript (i.e. the UI). Then just use HTSP (https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/HTSP#addDvrEntry-Added-in-version-4) that already allows you to enter things manually.

This is (partially?) implemented with the "Time Schedules" tab on the DVR menu.
