This server is a dell poweredge 2650 2u rack server with 3 hauppage win tv nova s2. in total there is 3 identical pci cards in this server.

i am thinking 1 of the cards might have failed, i see 1 process for the first of the 3 cards is always mentioned, but iam not sure if that is just because its first process or not.

this server did run for some years with Debian 6, after reinstall and setup to Debian 7 this crap started to happen.
we did a clean install of debian 7 no distro upgrade.

its not any other hardware then the dvb-s2 cards that cousin this, as we have 3 identical servers and all have same issues.

  • Status changed from New to Rejected

Kernel panic = broken driver. TVH should NEVER be able to cause a kernel panic, that's what the driver is there for, to protect us from the hardware. Even if we manage to send it crap, it still shouldn't crash.
