Description
After changing the debug settings to log to a file, these settings will not be saved. After a restart of tvheadend the default is restored (log to syslog).

I can confirm that I see the same issue here. Using the same version.

This is by design I'm afraid. If you want to persist debug settings you need to pass them via the command line options.
I added the feature to allow users to temporarily update settings for the purpose of grabbing logs (on demand). But didn't want it to be possible that users completely forgot, ad infinitum, to clear those settings.
If I remember I'll try and make a note to that effect in the help. I seem to have completely forgotten to create a help page for that tab, doh!

Within the board-thread https://tvheadend.org/boards/5/topics/9849?r=9877 I noticed, that there's someonething more wrong with the save/configuration of debug/logging parameters within the webgui.
Do I have to open a ticket again?
