Description

TVheadend version: latest stable

Using with XBMC (Frodo)

I have two audio channels.

One is called MP2. This produces sound.

One is called AC3. This doesn't.

The MP2 channel has the normal audio but also a very annoying audio subtitle lady talking over the audio.

There is no audio channel without the subtitles and no way to disable the subtitles.

UK based, affected channels (seemingly sporadically): BBC One HD, Channel 4 HD from Sat 28.2E.

Understand that the correct term is "Audio description" aka "AD":

Sounds like a problem with media playback to me. It's entirely normal for BBC One (HD) streams to include an AAC normal audio track (either 2.0 or 5.1 depending on content) and an MP2 (2.0) AD track.

I've never had any problems with audio playback/capture on BBC One (from same Sat), so I very much doubt the problem is in tvheadend. More likely the problem is in XBMC (since its responsible for playback). However if you can obtain a recording, ideally MPEG-TS, or even better a mux dump (during the affected period). Then I'll take a quick look.
