Bug #1780
Streaming / recording impossible
0%
Description
Hi all,
i´m running a very recent build on my Synology DS212+ (ARM based) and this worked fine for over a year. After updating some components streaming and recording is working fine for several hours after reboot and than it starts failing on every further try.
Confusing fact: tuning seems to work fine, signal is good but the "State" in Status view switches from "Testing" to "Bad" and back every few seconds... See screenshots attached.
Using another player instead of VLC causes a error "no input detected" after about 20 seconds.
BTW: Im using free and unencrypted DVT-T here in Germany.
Any ideas how to investigate here?
Br, Tom.

Hi all,
I have exactly the same problem. I am running Tvheadend on Synology DS413. Restaring Tvheadend and Video station did not help. Only solution is to restart the NAS.
My DVB-T tongle is Evolve 2x HD DVB-T USB tuner Venus which is on the compatibility list on Synology website.

- Status changed from New to Invalid
The relevant code has been completely rewritten, so I'm closing. If its still an issue with new code let me know.

Hi...same for me with slightly different config.
TVheadend with Hauppauge HVR-930C is running on a pogoplug v2 (kirkwood, armv5, arch linux arm).
Works fine for a year now, but suddenly stopped working. I've tried 3.4 and master versions, no difference. The adapter runs fine for a while and then suddenly stops. I then see "time missed" in recordings screen or "No input device detected" in XBMC.
Re-Plugging the adapter works (i can see firmware being uploaded in kernel messages), so i guess it is somehow related to power saving.
I've enabled "Keep FE open" in latest builds.
I see no helpful information that someone or something is sending the device into saving mode...it just stops working.

I can confirm that this problem is still reproducible on the Synology DS413, with a Hauppage 950q tuner (ATSC). I'm running TVheadend 3.9.2514 (the version from this repo: http://syno.dierkse.nl). The only temporary solution is to reboot the NAS, you can then stream for a while but then the problem comes back again.

Forgot to mention that I was trying version 3.5 before, with the exact same issue... wondering if this is something related to the driver. Scanning works perfectly, it's just the streaming that is broken (apparently)
