Description

I'm running OpenElec 3.0.2 (XBMC 12.2) with the TVHeadend addon (addon version 3.0.9, TVH version 3.4) and when playing back recorded videos through the 'Live TV -> Recordings' UI CPU usage on one core hits 100% and the video drops many frames (I get about 15 fps).

However, if I browse to the directory where files are recorded using the XBMC file browser then the files playback just fine, CPU usage is below 15% on all cores. Files are recorded to a local disk.

The files are h264 encoded recorded using the .ts container, the bitrate is about 5-10 Mb/s. Video source is a PCTV Nanostick T2 recording Freeview HD in the UK.

Live TV playback seems to work just fine, even when timeshifting.

Are you saying the TVH CPU usage hits 100% when playing a recording? Or XBMC?

Looking at the output from top it seems that it is xbmc that it is pegging the CPU, not TVH. Do you want me to open a bug against xbmc instead?

Yes please. High CPU load in xbmc is xbmcs problem.
