Bug #1590
Web interface has no way to cancel a recording
0%
Description
I just installed tvheadend from the Ubuntu ppa and it seems to be working fine with a DVB-T usb card. I was able to setup the card, find the channels and launch a recording. However after the recording was running when I opened the program in the EPG tab the popup still showed "Record Program" instead of something like "Stop Recording". There was no way I could find to cancel an ongoing recording anywhere else either.

- Status changed from New to Invalid
Digital Video Recorder -> List -> Entry -> Abort Recording. Or something to that effect (it's slightly different layout in latest code which is what I have to hand).

That wouldn't work as the recording didn't show up on the list at all. In any case it would make sense for the popup that shows up on the EPG list had the "Abort Recording" option when a recording was already on, instead of the useless "Record Program".

Actually, I just checked again and the recording did show up. It's just that the list was ordered in reverse so it was at the bottom. It would still make sense to allow aborting a recording from the EPG, where the same recording was started.

If the recording did not show up that could be for 1 of 2 reasons:
1. The recording was never actually setup.
2. There may be a bug in 3.2 that means the UI doesn't automatically refresh properly, a manual page refresh should solve that.
I don't disagree with the idea of having an option to cancel recordings when clicking on EPG entries, but that should be submitted as a feature request.
