Description

Firstly, I love TVheadend, I use it all the time and it's never left me down. ( I'm running a dual S2 card in the UK feeding from astra )

When we add the MUXES or have them detected, we get literally thousands of services of which only a very small amount are unscrambled or free to air. I'd like a way to say only create services that are actually accessible ?

The benefit I would see from this is that the service list would then reduce down to a few hundred rather than a few thousand which would be more manageable

Thanks for a great product

As far as i know, only availaible services will be mapped to channel. Next time during muxes scan services will appear anyway. Better way is, to use some small script to dissable those services, as ive done for radio channels.

Yeah I've used that feature of only allowing accessible services to become channels but my problem is that the channels that get mapped aren't all of the available channels as some have to be manually name/labeled to become channels.

This manual process is made even more difficult as there is a thousand plus services to scroll back and forth through to label/name. If the services that were scrambled unavailable had been removed this list would be much smaller

I agree with this, an option that limits what is added to the service list could be useful. However it needs to be used with caution, it is actually possible that some services could be missed due to false positive detection of scrambled bits.
