I don't really understand the problem? The EPG code doesn't care whether the signal is S/S2, as long as the standard EIT tables are on the transponder it will pick it up.

If you have trouble receiving EPG for a particular service on a particular transponder please attach a raw mux dump so that we can check there is indeed EPG data in there. Or even just a dvbsnoop output showing the available PIDs etc...

please provide info on how to obtain the dump you need,
iam 100% shure there is epg data there, its not just gone over night, and it was working just find with the old tvheadend

there are more channels this problem accures on, cmore hits and cmore series. weird is that the HD version of the same channel has working EIT epg

are those 2 channels sharing epg?

I couldn't possibly say without access to a sample stream. But given my knowledge of EIT I would think that's very unlikely.

To get a stream dump you can get TVH to do it (though its not that obvious with 3.2), in adapter config enable the dump full mux (you might need to restart TVH, I can't remember). Then tune to the relevant mux for a short period (a few seconds - this will generate a LARGE file) and then stop TVH.

Find the relevant mux file in the "muxdumps" folder under your DVR directory (i.e. where you've configured recordings to be stored).

This can all be achieved with other tools, but I'm not all that familiar with using them.

i have done some looking in the tranpoder data for tv 2 norway, http://no.kingofsat.net/sat-thor5.php

on transponder (11247) tv 2 is broadcasting with 2 names for same channel, seems like nw and old service names.

tv 2 (N) is what is mapped by tvheadend but the correct names for this service would be TV 2 Norge

so epg is looked for in the wrong stream i think

tvheadend do not update service list with 2 serivce names / TV 2 (N) and TV 2 Norge) it shows both service entrys as TV 2 (N) so i suspect it do not use the NEW stream at all but maps both service entrys to the same and OLD stream

That error message can be ignored (I should really move it) it happens a lot during channel zapping as various buffers get emptied.

I've been really busy of late and not had time to look into the issue yet. But you might be right, it could be the mappings are wrong. I wouldn't worry to much about service name, focus on the TSID/SID values (these are more likely to be accurate). If you know which service you need try disabling the other one.

Closing, looks like it was a configuration mistake. If I've read that wrong please do shout!
