Description

At the moment there are 2 possible options in the configure script for FFdecsa. But you can have more options and they might actually be faster on specific hardware.

In the sasc-ng configure script and source there is a section that will try to compile a small test program using the various options and then tries to determine what options is the fastest on the particular hardware.

Having the ability to set the --ffdecsa-mode to AUTO could be used to trigger this automatic process.

You can get the steps that sasc-ng performs from the sasc-ng configure script and the small test program from the sasc-ng source. At the moment the best place to get this latest version of sasc-ng is as part of the vdr-sc source.

vdr-sc source can be found here: http://85.17.209.13:6100/sc

sasc-ng is in the contrib directory and their version of FFdecsa with test programs can be found in the FFdecsa directory
