Bug #1216
Alternative showing detection matching every show
100%
Description
I'm a new user, so am still feeling my way around.
Compiled from source via git
Version: HTS Tvheadend 3.1.651.g00fa2.dirty
Distro: Debian Wheezy
Hardware: 2x NOVA-T 900 DVB-T
EPG: EIT & XMLTV
I am trying to schedule a show to record and I can only record a single schedule of a show. Requesting any further recordings results in nothing being added to DVR.
If I request a series record, only the first showing is picked.
An example: Dog the Bounty Hunter. Next 23 showings are all an alternative of the same show. See attached screenshot.
This maybe the same issue as bug #1189
As a workaround is there a way to override the alternative broadcast detection?

try my feature/epg-update branch on github fork (adamsutton/tvheadend). There are lots of known problems with my new EPG code which are hopefully resolved in that branch.
I'll be merging it sometime this week, but it needs some tidying up first. I'd welcome any feedback pre-merge.

Okay, I have cloned that repo and "git checkout feature/epg-update".
Compiled fine, however because "git describe" returns null, Autobuild.sh failed as VER=""
I created a bogus version of "3.1-651-epg-update-19cb7816eb" to satisfy Autobuild/debian.sh
Installed and waiting for EPG to update.

Okay in the time it took me to type that, the EPG was populated
I added my test case "Dog the Bounty Hunter", and it has added all shows to the DVR. \o/

Can I close this one then (when I merge)? You happy the new code has fixed the problem?
