Bug #1057
Anysee E30 / Ubuntu 12.04
0%
Description
I want to confirm the Anysee E30 TV Tuner does not work with TVHeadend under Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise)
However it is listed under the TV Adapters. When i add my Network id and DVB network by location, it scans the 4 added muxes but does not find any.
The Anysee E30 does work under Ubuntu 11.10 without any problems.
I also tested a Sundtek MediaTV Pro tuner, this one does work on both Ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04.
My TVHeadend version under Ubuntu 12.04:
HTS Tvheadend 2.99.37.1332f9f

Have you tested the card with any other software, dvbsnoop etc...
Is it possible the cards driver has been broken? Not sure how TVheadend can be at fault if only change is upgrade of Ubuntu, but its possible some API change has caused a problem.
A debug log would also be useful, and worth checking dmesg for any driver related problems.

I did not test the card with other software.
The Anysee did work perfectly with Ubuntu 11.10 so i should expect it should work on 12.04.
when i do 'lsusb' i do see the Anysee.
My second USB TV tuner is an Sundtek mediaTV Pro, i now bought another one. This is working without any problems on 12.04
I use TVheadend in combination with XBMC to watch TV. I needed to fix this on short terms so i can fully use it without any exceptions.
I now facing a other problem so i first need to fix this. If this is done i wll test the Anysee with dvbsnoop and report the outcome.

No problem. I just think it would be good to do an independent test of the hardware. It seems to me that if the only thing to have changed is the OS, then the most likely source of failure is going to be the DVB driver.

This is not a TVHeadend problem. The list of muxes added by TVHeadend is not always complete.
Did you enter a NIT-o Network ID? (needs to be supported by your cable provider)
I have the same card and works without problems with Ubuntu 12.04. The problem with this card is that the reception is really bad. Try adding muxes manually, i can't find where you are from but if you are from the Netherlands (the card is very popular by Ziggo NL users) i'm sure you know Gathering of Tweakers.net. There is a complete list of the muxes of all cable providers in their forum.

- Status changed from Need feedback to Rejected
Other users have confirmed the tuner works fine with TVH and therefore this is either a config or driver problem.
