How to force a rescan of a multiplexer?
Added by Akos Sz about 11 years ago
Hi,
I am using Tvheadend3.4.27 with a TBS 6922 DVB-S2 card. I observed that some multiplexes are not scanned correctly and Tvheadend did not find the correct services.
(I suspect a bug in Tvheadend in case of multi-sat environment but it needs more investigation.)
Anyway, to resolve the situation is there any way to force tvheadend to tune a given multiplex and rescan the available services?
It would also help with checking the signal level on that mux. Sometimes it called "satfind".

Update.
I deleted the affected mux and added it again manually then clicked on "play" link.
Tvheadend started to stream and started to update the services on this mux.
It added 5 dummy services only (see logs below)
10 minutes later I clicked on they play link again and 2 new services was added to the list (log was stopped)
Questions:
- Why does not tvheadend scan all existing services at once?
- Now there are 7 services but the valid 4 HD services of this trasnponder is still missing. Why?
- This multiplex was configured well before. Tvheadend performed initial scan of this mux many times. Why tvheadend had only 2 services on this mux before I removed and reconfigured it again?
- 99% of muxes are correctly scanned. How could I force tvheadend to scan all services on a given mux?

Hi,
I found a workaround for the problem, however there is something odd in Tvheadend behavior.
I removed and added the 11,302,750 kHz Horizontal (Astra 19,2E)tarnsponder many times, and also added the missing services manually. No success. Tvheadend always reported "no input detected" error.
Finally, I removed the transponder again and added it manually again with a slightly different frequency: 11,303,000 kHz. The missing services was found immediatelly!
You can see, that even the network name is different.
See the transponder info:
