Editing in the tab "services" driving me mad
Added by Richy Müller over 11 years ago
Hi,
I am using TVheadend on Ubuntu and works great, but the editing in the services tab is a nightmare.
If I do some changes and not saving fast enough, the whole lists reloads, starts of the beginning and all my changes are gone.
Is there a trick how to use the gui, so that doesn't happen?
I tried different browsers, all the same refreshing issue.
By the way, it would be great if it is possible to map a service from all tuners to a channel. Can't the same service on the same mux on multiple cards be linked?

Hi,
How many multiplexes and services do you have?
In my setup there are around 600 multiplexes and 8000 services on 7 satellites. The web UI is not able to handle so many items. The service list page has 15-100 seconds lag on every click. It cannot be use at all.
I wonder if the developers have ever tested the SW with similar sized database. I can offer a copy for testing.
Finally, I decided to write a standalone application to edit the database.

Hi
In my case, I disable my DVB adapter in "General" tab when i have to change Services.
(but i have "only" 1 DVB adapter and 1500 services ... )
By this way, there is not PMT or service update during the period i need to update. It 's a little "workaround" but not realy convinient.

Hi,
Disabling the DVB adapter won't help me at all. The service page is extremly slow.
It cannot be used to manage services.
