Channels: w_scan can, tvheadend can't

Added by Richard Jäger over 11 years ago

Hey,

at first i'd like to thank you for this great pvr backend, i really love. Specially the extjs backend :)

But i got one problem.

Before i used tvheadend, i used vdr. I scanned the channels for vdr with w_scan and i was for example able to find "ProSieben" as Channel.

But with tvheadend i can't find this Channel. ProSieben belongs to the "ProSiebenSat1" Group. This group contains Channels like "Kabel1", "Sat1", "ProSieben", etc.

This is my Hardware Setup: https://www.mindfactory.de/shopping_cart.php/basket_action/load_basket_extern/id/2dd102220acd3327aa8c82fb450d32be5e9ad6982d758be3d35

dmesg | grep -i dvb
[3.303648] DVB: registering new adapter (SAA716x dvb adapter)
[3.515449] SAA716x Budget 0000:01:00.0: DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (STV090x Multistandard)...

I am using XBMCbuntu.

Thank you! :)

Hi Richard,
Have you tried to setup muxes by hand, in the Multiplexes tab?
you can take muxes info in the channels.conf files...

ps: which satellite do you see?
i point to Hotbird 13E...

Bye

I am using the Astra 19.2 E Sat.

Sorry, i can't check if i have that channels...

another thing i do is to check if there are some channel "without name" (i get some) with the same frequency....

if it was some more "dvb-technichal" i can't help.... :-(

Bye

Sure, no problem.

I do have some Channels without name and some with just "."

I've tested them, but they are not working.

Here is the output from w_scan:
tune to: S2 f = 11670 kHz H SR = 22000 2/3 0,35 8PSK
(time: 07:48) service = SAT.1 (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = ProSieben (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = kabel eins (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = N24 (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = SAT.1 Gold (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = SAT.1 emotions (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = kabel eins classics (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = SAT.1 Bayern (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = SAT.1 NRW (ProSiebenSat.1)

and some minutes later:
tune to: S f = 12515 kHz H SR = 22000 5/6 0,35 QPSK
(time: 17:43) service = SAT.1 (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = ProSieben (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = kabel eins (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = N24 (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = SAT.1 Gold (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = SAT.1 emotions (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = kabel eins classics (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = SAT.1 Bayern (ProSiebenSat.1)
service = SAT.1 NRW (ProSiebenSat.1)

You also like to see the parts of channels.conf which was created by w_scan?
