HDhomerun 2nd tuner enabled

Added by Doebe x over 11 years ago

Model: HDHR3-EU
Build: 3.3.511~g1f4f001
Openelec 3.0.0

Hello
A few days i go i got my HDhomerun, and after a few days of struggling i finally got TVheadened running
i had lots of probs getting things up and running until i discoverd, that if only 1 tuner card is enabled (adapter 0 or 1)
things are running ok.
as soon as 2nd DVB adapter is enabled, everything gets messed up.
Running on 1 card gives no problems
if 2nd card is activated i oftend get the message "no input selected"
any one else got this issue ?

Gr.

I'm having the same issue. I have been in "hair pulling mode" for a few days now trying to make it work but to no avail.

I've got:
HDHR3-US
Build - 3.4~git201304071907.63b3516
XBMC 12.1 Frodo

Yes i could use 2 tunners now.
i now have changed TVheadend from Openelec as server to my nas.
its running oke except HD performance is not yet optimal.
My settings are:

Enabled: ..........................................Checked
Autodetect muxes:..................................Checked
Skip initial scan:.................................UnChecked
Idle scanning:.....................................Checked

Skip service availability check when mapping:......UnChecked
Use SID as channel number during mapping:..........UnChecked
Monitor signal quality:............................UnChecked
Full mux reception:................................Off
Grace Period:......................................0
Disable PMT monitoring:............................Checked
Original Network ID:...............................43136 (ID of my provider)
Extra priority:....................................0

And second tuner same.

And the dvbhdhomerun.conf file i have

[xxxxxxx-0]
tuner_type=DVB-C

[xxxxxxx-1]
tuner_type=DVB-C

[xxxxxxx-0]
use_full_name=true

[xxxxxxx-1]
use_full_name=true

Where you get the Network ID from? Is this supplied the cable provider of is it something i can find on my bill? Thanks for the help, at this point i am still unable to get both tuners working. Which sucks because i can't record one show and watch another.

One more questions, for anyone who might be able to help me. When getting the second tuner to find my muxes i just copied the ones from tuner0 to tuner1. Is this the right way to go, or should i have tuner1 find them (by way of adding them with the ADD DVB... button?)

This informatio was availible on the Website of my cable provider.
at the section where the information is how to setup certain TV`s

1 scanned twice, one time for tuner 1 and tuner 2

I recently got mine HDHomerun EU version and am experiencing exactly the same issues as nova..

-0 tuner works flawless while the -1 tuner fails instantly.

Even if I disable -0 tuner to only use the -1 tuner it doesnt work..

Tried with both stable 3.4 and just now tried with HTS Tvheadend 3.5.201~g2a9ccdd~quantal.

Is there anyone who got hdhomerun eu working with dvb-c ?

I am still having the same issue, i've tried every different configuration i can think of and i still cant get more than 1 tuner to work simultaneously. Actually my issue is the same as we willy, only the -0 tuner works. Anyone else have any other options to try, or something we might be overlooking?

I was thinking it could be an issue with dvbhdhomerun-utils?

Which version of dvbhdhomerun-utils are you using?

RE: HDhomerun 2nd tuner enabled - Added by nova .. over 11 years ago

I am currently on version 0.0.16~raring3 from the tfylliv repo. I haven't had any success with any previous versions, however...

Hmm.
I played around further with this and now both tuners are up and functional with tvheadend.

I'm not really sure on what I did different from the first time, except using a newer version of tvh, also I didn't copy muxes from tuner 0 to tuner 1 and instead did a manual scan on that one this time.

I'm also using the tfylliv repo:
dvbhdhomerun-utils: Version: 0.0.16~quantal

HTS Tvheadend 3.5.225~g5956233~quantal
Tvh tuner configuration options that I enabled:

Autodetect muxes
Idle scanning
Monitor signal quality
Full mux reception: Off

Tbh I actually think it has something to do with that I copied the muxes from tuner 0 to tuner 1 last time, and now did a manual scan on both tuners, so could be worth trying that.
