[Solved] WebUI logon woes
Added by Nathan Thirlby almost 12 years ago
Hey,
I've just installed XBMCbuntu and then added the PPA (as per the wiki on this site), I've installed tvheadend (entering my username/password) but when i come to logon it just asks for the password again. It's driving me nuts!
I've checked to see what user tvheadend is running under, it's running under nathan.
I've done a reconfigure using dpkg and entered the username/password.
I've reinstalled it, deleted the files within the tvheadend folder.
Looking in /home/nathan/.hts/tvheadend i have a superuser file with the following in;
"username": "nathan",
"password": "password"
I'm trying to access this from Google Chrome.
I have no idea what else to try?

Sorted it, I had no accesscontrol folder and no users define within it. So within it i created a file called 1 at /home/nathan/.hts/tvheadend/accesscontrol/
{
"enabled": 1,
"username": "xbmc",
"password": "xbmc",
"comment": "Default access entry",
"streaming": 1,
"dvr": 1,
"dvrallcfg": 1,
"webui": 1,
"admin": 1,
"id": "1"
}
Hope this helps anyone that comes across the same issue.

After all that, looks like i can't even use my tv tuner card with linux as the drivers seem to be kernel dependent. Stupid blackgold.
