DVB-S configuration Multi LNB Astra 19.2E
Added by ted miller almost 12 years ago
Hi
I'm running an openelec on a Asus EEE PC with a Terratec USB DVBS2 Reciver(cinergy S2 USB HD)
The Adapter is recognised as: Montage Technology DS3000/TS2020
so far so good.
now I'm trying to configure this adapter for german DVB-S from Astra 19.2 E
My satelite dish has a multi LNB with 8 Ports.
Like described in the WIKI I selected the adaper, enabled Autodetect muxes and idle scanning.
Then I added the DVB Network by my location.
But it doesn't find any services, and it says the signal sterngth is 0%:
Device path: /dev/dvb/adapter0 Device name: Montage Technology DS3000/TS2020 Host connection: USB (480 Mbit/s) Intermediate Frequency range: 950000 kHz - 2150000 kHz, in steps of 1011 kHz Symbolrate range: 1000000 Baud - 45000000 Baud Status Currently tuned to: 12,551,500 kHz Vertical (No satconf) Services: 0 Muxes: 1 Muxes awaiting initial scan: 1 Signal Strength: 0% Bit Error Rate: 0/s Uncorrected Bit Errors: 0/s
I played around with diffrent MUXes and did some try and error, but no luck so far.
Can anyone provide some help?
thanks in advance
teddybt
Edit:
Even w_scan doesn't find anyting!? Is it hopeless?

RE: DVB-S configuration Multi LNB Astra 19.2E - Added by Rob vh almost 12 years ago
You could specify the diseqc code for the LNB that points to 19.2E?
wscan ..... -D0c for the first port, -D1c for the second, etc.
Did you specify the satellite configuration in hts:
Astra1 0 Universal
Astra2 1 Universal
Astra3 2 Universal
The first 3 LNB positions are aimed at Astra 1, 2 and 3, resp.

Thanks for this suggestion.
But it seems it is the driver in the current openelec build.
I connected the DVB-S Reciver to my Raspberry Pi running another openelec build and anything works fine
