Segregation of TV and Radio...

Background...
My setup is a DVB-T tuner getting all Freeview services (with all the tat removed) into TVHeadend.
Additionally DAB Bar generating audio streams from the Nottingham local DAB multiplex with VLC converting to Multicast streams which TV Headend is subscribed too.
Is it possible to get the EPG Timelime in XBMC to display all services (TV and Radio) in the same view like my set top boxes do - having to switch between TV and Radio is annoying - even more so when typing "716" doesn't take me to Q.
Currently I am running on Eden with the pulse8 build and Covergance; but on Windows I have Frodo Beta 1 with the standard Confluence and see the same behaviour.
When simply adding an HTSP playlist all the channels are shown as I would expect in one list...
e.g.
....
202 CITV (DVB-T TV service)
700 BBC Radio 1xtra (DVB-T Radio service)
....
710 BBC Radio Nottingham (an IPTV (radio) service)
....
However using the proper PVR plugins you get the following on the TV list
202 CITV (DVB-T TV service)
710 BBC Radio Nottingham (an IPTV (radio) service)
...
and then on the separate radio list
700 BBC Radio 1
Also this separation means there appears to be no way of accessing radio services on the timeline, which also hides the IPTV services as they have no guide - I would expect to see "No listings available" rather than them being hidden.
I guess this is a few different issues...- Can you mark an IPTV service as a Radio Station in TVHeadend?
- Can you show services on the EPG Timeline, even when they have no programme data?
- Can you show an EPG Timeline for Radio stations?
- Can you show a combined EPG Timeline with both TV and Radio services?
If any of those are Skin things where would I look at hacking them to clean it up - also does XBMC offer any labels so I can get the menu to show which tag is selected on the TV list?
Some screenshots at http://kjs1982.me.uk/3rdparty/xbmc/tvheadendtvradio/ might make it easier to understand...

I think for the most part you're asking in the wrong place. Most of these issues are related to XBMC display and you need to address there.
I can say that TVH does indicate whether an IPTV channel is radio or not (though its up to the user to define this generally).
