Continuity counter error fills my log when recording
Added by viktor glemme about 12 years ago
Well, topic says it all.
Regardless if I do one or two recordings at a time the log fills with this:
Oct 17 18:22:10 TS: Afatech AF9013 DVB-T1/Network TEN: 219,500 kHz/ELEVEN: MPEG2VIDEO @ #516: Continuity counter error Oct 17 18:22:37 TS: Afatech AF9013 DVB-T1/Network TEN: 219,500 kHz/ONE: MPEG2VIDEO @ #514: Continuity counter error
Recording is ok so it is more an annoyance than a bug.
(ps, also had issues with writing to a file share using afp even if permissions was correct so using sshfs instead and that works)

I'm seeing a lot of this in my logs too - can anyone say exactly what this error means?
I'm running tvheadend version 3.1.694 on a raspberry pi (backend only - the pi is doing nothing else but running tvheadend) with a Tevii S660 USB tuner, streaming to VLC on my laptop.
If the issue is somehow due to lack of resources then I will try overclocking the pi, but I'd rather not do this unless I have to: tvheadend is using between 3% and 5% CPU while idle, 20-30% while streaming a clear SD channel and 30-40% while descrambling an SD channel.
Any suggestions please anyone?

I've just tried streaming some radio channels over exactly the same setup and I don't see any error messages at all - which leads me to believe that is must be to do with the limited processing power of the raspberry pi .. can anyone confirm or deny this?
