EPG one hour off

Added by Jim bo about 12 years ago

I´m having problem with the EPG not working as it should.

When the EPG says a program will start it have actually started one hour ago.
So if the EPG says 19:00 the program started 18:00.

I have checked and it seems like the time is correct on the HTPC.
Anyone having the same issue?

I believe one of the dev's reported this a long time ago to me. But I think the problem went away and I'm not sure whether we ever found the cause.

Which version are you using? And what EPG source are you using? What timezone are you in?

Build: 0.90.0.6263.gffc4e7
EPG: I have no idea sorry, the default one?
Timezone: CEST Sweden (GMT+2)

I´m running OpenELEC with HTS Tvheadend and everything is working except the EPG.
I have tried using XMLTV but all that change is that I get icons for the channels.

Well that's interesting for 2 reasons:

1. That's a very old build so doesn't include any of my new EPG code.
2. That's the same timezone (and country, so presumably same XMLTV provider) that John Tornblom reported the problem against.

I'm beginning to think there might be something wrong with the XMLTV output. Can you send me a copy of the script output.

Sorry tried to find the XMLTV output but all I can find is the service.log for Tvheadend.
How can I find it?

You need to run whichever tv_grab_* script you use manually from the command line and capture the output to file.

xmltv: No output from "/storage/.xbmc/addons/service.multimedia.hts-tvheadend/bin/tv_grab_file"

No XMLTV is checked in XBMC.
What I find strange is the either file or http option is checked in Tvheadend and I still get the EPG.

I have attached the script if it helps somehow.

I have set http://xmltv.tvsajten.com/xmltv/channels.xml.gz as the XMLTV file and I get the following from tv_grab_file:

Oct 03 21:40:22 xmltv: Grabbing "tv_grab_file is a simple grabber that just read the local or web XMLTV formated file" using command "/storage/.xbmc/addons/service.multimedia.hts-tvheadend/bin/tv_grab_file"
Oct 03 21:40:22 xmltv: /storage/.xbmc/addons/service.multimedia.hts-tvheadend/bin/tv_grab_file: Parsing completed. XML contained 0 channels, 0 events, 0 new events injected in EPG

Since no new events is injected in the EPG it is still one hour off.

It seems to have been a problem with the EIT (Event Information Table) from my provider.
I disabled this under Configuration -> TV Adapters -> (Choose TV Adapter) -> Services, and then uncheck the column with EIT.

After I had done that I got the XMLTV source to work

I have problems with the epg time.
I use tvh 4.2.3-20 ~ LibreELEC Tvh-addon v8.2.112 and I live in Italy (GMT +1); I import the xmltv file from www.epg-guide.com/it.gz. The tv programs have a difference of 1h. I tried to change EIT time offset, clear epg and restart but nothing.
Sorry for my English
Thank you
