Tuner problem

Added by Max Max about 1 year ago

Hi.I have 2 TBS cards with Tvheadend. But are endless problems. Many times at the channel change I have adapter not available, where I have to go crazy to make it start again, and management USALS really bad. Even here, many times the rotor does not start.... TBS card problem? Did I make a mistake? But with TVHEADEND, is it possible to take advantage of the tuner of a decoder? Because it's really stressful Thank you.

You’ll need to supply a lot more information on your current setup before anyone could attempt to assist you.

My system is a RockPIX with Ubuntu 22.04 and Tvheadend 4.3-2063. As a tuner I have TBS 5925 and a TBS 5520. I have a rotor STAB 120, with a dish of 120 cm. I configured with Advanced (non-universal LNBs, rotors, etc.) number of satellites, coordinates, etc. The rotor works, but sometimes it is as if it is locked. Both with the TBS 5925,and with the 5520.Usual thing of the channels with non-free adapter message. The mapping of the channels I did by creating a bouqet and importing the.tv file of the settings of Enigma 2.Il everything to have only the channels that interest me, divided by bouquet. Thank you

You’ve two USB tuners connected to a SBC Rock Pi X. I suggest you check power supply on all your equipment. Classic symptoms of faulty or failing power supply. Try swapping out one the USB tuners from your setup and see if the other is functioning correctly. If it is then try swapping out the other USB tuner.

Hello. Currently I'm using only the TBS 5520, and, for the power supply, since the card has 2 usb, I dedicated a separate USB power supply. Even with only TBS 5925, I have the usual errors in the vision and pointing of the dish. Thanks

Stalling motorised dish usually points to insufficient power load to drive the dish between satellites. A 120cm dish can be quite heavy to move and puts a strain on the power supply

Without a debug log your “no free adapter” error could be a number of different issues at play here and without a debug log it’s difficult to say which one is causing the issue. I suggest doing a bit of searching on the forum for further pointers to the source of your problem.

Thanks. For the power supply to the board, I'm using a 25W usb power supply. I try to see if I find another brand, since I have problems with 2 tbs. But there is no possibility to drive a tuner of a decoder, via USB? Thanks again

Check the power supply on the Rock Pi X. That could be over loading too. Do both of your USB tuners have independent power supplies.
