Time offset to use the East EPG for a West channel

Added by John Woznack over 1 year ago

Is there a way for me to add a time offset to an "East" EPG for a "West" channel?

Let's say I've got two channels: MeTV (East) and MeTV (West). I've got the EPG for the the East channel. I've been told the West channel's EPG is exactly the same as the East EPG except it's 3 hours later. Is there a way to reuse an EPG with a time offset?

No way I know of from within TVHeadend. There are probably ways to do this with your EPG data prior to it being feed into TVH depending on how your grab the EPG. Webgrabplus can do this using settings it the config file.

Do you think it's possible to set up a second "network" (with the same URL) with a "EIT time offset" of "UTC - 3" and select that network for West-coast channels? Would that read and offset EPG data correctly? (Or perhaps I misunderstand how "EIT time offset" is used?)
