ATSC HDhomerun certian Muxes being decoded as DVB channels

Added by the dude over 12 years ago

Hey there,

So I have ATSC and tvheadend working like a champ. The only issue I have now is specific channels are being tagged in tvheadend as cable channels it looks like and then rejected because tvheadend thinks they require a decoder.

Here is the log:

ug 08 14:24:01 serviceprobe: Airbox: skipped: No descrambler

Aug 08 14:24:01 serviceprobe: RedZone: checking...

Aug 08 14:24:01 subscription: "serviceprobe" direct subscription to adapter: "HDHomeRun ATSC", network: "", mux: "641,028 kHz", provider: "", service: "RedZone", quality: 100

Aug 08 14:24:11 subscription: "serviceprobe" unsubscribing

Aug 08 14:24:11 serviceprobe: RedZone: skipped: Got multiplexed packets but could not decode further

Aug 08 14:24:11 serviceprobe: Starz: checking...

Aug 08 14:24:11 subscription: "serviceprobe" direct subscription to adapter: "HDHomeRun ATSC", network: "", mux: "641,028 kHz", provider: "", service: "Starz", quality: 100

Aug 08 14:24:11 subscription: "serviceprobe" unsubscribing

Aug 08 14:24:11 serviceprobe: Starz: skipped: No descrambler

So I searched inside the configs, I couldn't find anything about mapping channels to freqs. This is the last piece of the puzzle for me....

Update:

This is not what I thought it was. The channels I am scanning are Airbox channels. A new service to provide pay tv OTA.

These streams are in MPEG4 format, so your current set won’t be able to decode them, even if your set can lock onto the subchannel.

The channels included are:
100 – Air Box 100
200 – TeleFormula
201 – CineMexicano
202 – LTNvela
203 – VideoRola
204 – Sorpresa
300 – Gol TV
400 – Starz
500 – qubo2, an unencrypted simulcast of qubo
501 – Life2, an unencrypted simulcast of IonLife

ANT
So yeah...tvheadend works great. And a side note here. If you are trying for OTA with an antenna the RCA ANT751 I just bought is getting stations 90 miles away!
