MUX fail to find channels

Added by Robert Cook over 2 years ago

Hi

I have set up a new Raspberry Pi 4 with a WinTV dualHD. It is running the Raspberry Pi OS Bullseye 64 bit. This was freshly imaged today and then I ran a full update on it (apt-get update && apt-get full-upgrade). I then installed TVheadend using apt-get, this is version 4.3-1994~gc7b713edb from the about page in the web interface. I live in the UK and get my FreeView TV signal from the Bluebell Hill transmitter. I have used the set up wizard that opened when first opening the TVheadend web interface to set up the muxes by selecting the Bluebell Hill option. It has then scanned for channels and only found 42 channels. Please see the attached screen shot for a list of my muxes. It has failed to scan on some of them. I'm not that experienced with TVheadend to know why this might be. Please could anyone help or point me in the direction of the issue? I believe the signal is ok as I have tested the same connection to the Raspberry Pi with a TV and all channels are found.

Many thanks

I have left it for a few hours and it has not picked up more channels. It seems to have not mapped them all though as I am missing some channels (e.g. Tiny Pop, my sons favourite channel). Please could anyone help or point me in the right direction?

Many thanks

Your image shows that you have successfully scanned 7 muxes, and you have a number of unmapped services.

You can map the currently unmapped services via Configuration > DVB Inputs > Services
Select services that are blank in the Channel column [only services you actually want], then click
Map Services > Map selected services

Hi Hiro Protagonist

Thank you for your reply. When I look at the list of services there are none that are blank. If I click on Map Services > Map All Services and then click Map Services in the window that opens it tells me that there were 37 out of 37 ignored and 0 mapped. Please can you let me know if there is anything else I can try or any more information I can provide that would be helpful.

Many thanks

The muxes image you posted clearly shows unmapped services, and a lot more than 37 services, so I really don't know what to make of 37 out of 37.
