DVB-C Mexico
Added by Marc Ominus over 2 years ago
Hi,
Does anyone know how to get a mux details of particular channels running on LG TV model number 32LD452C?
I have tried holding the Info button, and all the other buttons, but nothing come up.
The TV meant to support ATSC/NTSC/Clear QAM.
The TV is not locked in any way and I have access to MENU/SETTINGS but just can not get
out of it any info about the MUX/Channel, Signal strength etc.
If it is possible at all .....

Am I safe to assume that the system used can be following:
DVB-C J.83B mainly US
Modulation can either be QAM64 | QAM256
Bandwidth is 6MHz
Hard bit is the frequency .....
I have done some progress, and run the Channel Scan on the TV and have
the following findings.
TV scanned Cabel DTV channels 1- 135 ....
Where would one find the frequencies for the 1 - 135 channels??
TV found 63 DTV Channels:
DVB-C Channel 30 - 9 Channels
DVB-C Channel 31 - 5 Channels
DVB-C Channel 33 - 6 Channels
DVB-C Channel 34 - 1 Channels
and it goes on .................
What is the frequency for Ch 30, 31, 33, 34 for DVB-C J.83B?

Use linux utility to scan
1. stop tvheadend service
2. w_scan -f c -x > MX-Yourcity-Provider
3. cp MX-Yourcity-Provider /usr/share/tvheadend/data/dvb-scan/dvb-c/
4. systemctl restart tvheadend
Now you can see your provider network as selectable option.

As easy as it sound I am in the Hotel, so not sure who the providers is
But found this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan-American_television_frequencies#Channel_frequencies_2
that has channels 2 to 158,
so I tried specific channels/frequencies that the TV LG 32LD452C found during the scan and BINGO all works now
