TBS6902 - no input source available

Added by KenyBDG K. over 3 years ago

From few years I'm using TBS6902 with TVH 4.2.8-34 and everything work well.
Because I can watch only two channels simultaneously I decided to buy same TBS6902.
After installation the card has been detected by TVH without any issue, but when unfortunately I cannot watch anything using this new card.
I've noticed on TVH log,

2021-03-09 20:02:32.973 subscription: 00C0: No input source available for subscription"

Maybe card is broken, but before I send back to seller, I'd like to be sure that everything is ok on my side.
I've been testing also just one card to be sure that power supply is ok, but there is no matter, if I use one or both card.
Of course old one TBS6902 work fine.

The red dots on the last two adapters indicate that they have not been enabled in the configuration.

If you remove the old card and use only the new card it does not work?

RE: TBS6902 - no input source available - Added by KenyBDG K. over 3 years ago

Yes, doesn't work.....I used also same PCI-E port.... no succeed

RE: TBS6902 - no input source available - Added by Ron L over 3 years ago

That sounds like a defective device then.

It seems that you are right..... :( I was hoping I forgot to configure something..

As long as the network is assigned to the device it should be used. Some of these dual tuner devices needed some extra config with the linked input setting but if it's working with the old card then your settings must be correct.

Reinstall TBS driver
Test is it work with some "elec" distro on usb drive.

RE: TBS6902 - no input source available - Added by KenyBDG K. over 3 years ago

I've reinstalled drivers couple of time, no succeed.
But I'll try to install some "elec" distro, I'm using TVH on Proxmox, so it's shouldn't any problem with installation "elec" distro (I hope so)

They are identical cards. If one works then you pull it out, install the other and it doesn't work then that isn't a driver issue.

RE: TBS6902 - no input source available - Added by KenyBDG K. over 3 years ago

The seller replaced the card with a new one, but no improvement, issue is the same. I've no idea what is the root cause...

Install LibreElec on USB Drive and test, isolating virtualization.

RE: TBS6902 - no input source available - Added by KenyBDG K. over 3 years ago

I've been talking with TBS support.
TBS6902 has a new SoC which need new drivers, unfortnately they need some time to prepare drivers for this SoC, they will probably deliver it next Monday...... (I hope)

Update from TBS

Hi

It is the HV voltage control reversal problem , when you set "H", the voltage is 13V, set "v" ,the voltage is 18V. so you just need setting the opposite voltage ,you will get the channel.
later i will fixed it.
Thanks for your feedback.
Best Regards
