SATIP>TVHEADEND Multipe channels
Added by John Quayle over 3 years ago
Hi all, Im playing with my old DM8000 and have installed minisatip which works fine.
If I watch all channel from one frequency at once i start to get error on minisatip, dropped and buffered.
It seems tvheadend only use one stream/connection to minisatip. It does show multiple connections in tvheadend.
Now if i watch all channel directly from minisatip via another sauce its no problem and seem to open multiple streams/connections.
If you see via the picture tuner 0 is me watching direct via minisatip and tuner 2 is via tvheadend.
Question is how do I make tvheadend behave like tuner 0.
Hope that make sense.
Thanks

You need to learn some basic stuff before, as:
What is SPTS
What is MPTS
Multiplexing and demultiplexing.
As extra knowledge ;)
What is meaning of pids numbers.
Then need to check what options are set in SAT>IP tuner in TVH.

I know the basics of what they mean and you are obviously more advanced than me.
I do not see anything in regards to SPTS or MPTS, Multiplexing and demultiplexing in the tuner setup for my Minisatip sauce. Only Full mux RX mode supported: and that didnt change anything.
Is it possible to achieve what i want before I spend anymore time on this? Thanks

TVH use MPTS to get more then one service,
this solve problem when device have clients limit,
for example hardware SAT>IP servers.
This also save some CPU overloading on server.
p.s.
Real SAT>IP server use RTSP only,
software moded as minisatip serve also TS over HTTP.
