Hi there.
I have tvheadend running with an attached tevii s660 usb dvb-s/s2 adapter.
The adapter seems to be installed correct, but i can't scan anything in tvheadend.
dmesg tells me this.
[ 14.360601] dvb-usb: found a 'TeVii S660 USB' in cold state, will try to load a firmware [ 14.528396] dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-s660.fw' [ 14.739885] dvb-usb: found a 'TeVii S660 USB' in warm state. [ 14.741233] dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer. [ 14.889001] dvb-usb: MAC address: 00:18:bd:5b:63:67 [ 14.896363] dvb-usb: schedule remote query interval to 150 msecs. [ 14.896368] dvb-usb: TeVii S660 USB successfully initialized and connected.
and i can do a "scan /usr/share/dvb/dvb-s/Sirius-5.0E | tee channels.conf" and find channels.
i have tryied adding dvb network by location, but all myxes just drop to 0% and find nothing. when adding muxes myself i get thsi error in tvheadend
Apr 28 11:49:13 dvb: "/dev/dvb/adapter0" tuning via s2api to "12,073 kHz Horizontal (Default (Port 0, Universal LNB))" (9737927, 27500000 Baud, 3/4, SYS_DVBS2, QPSK) Apr 28 11:49:13 dvb: "/dev/dvb/adapter0" tuning to "12,073 kHz Horizontal (Default (Port 0, Universal LNB))" -- Front configuration failed -- Invalid argument, frequency: 9737927
in the tv adapter settings i this info on the tuner
Hardware Device path: /dev/dvb/adapter0 Device name: Montage Technology DS3000/TS2020 Host connection: USB (480 Mbit/s) Intermediate Frequency range: 950000 kHz - 2150000 kHz, in steps of 1011 kHz Symbolrate range: 1000000 Baud - 45000000 Baud Status Currently tuned to: Services: 0 Muxes: 0 Muxes awaiting initial scan: 0
where do i go from here ?
thank you

when i do a w_scan it does scan channels. Then i use szap to test stream which gives me this...
heinobl@xbmc:~/.szap$ szap GODChannel reading channels from file '/home/heinobl/.szap/channels.conf' zapping to 16 'GODChannel': sat 0, frequency = 11996 MHz H, symbolrate 27500000, vpid = 0x0fdd, apid = 0x0fde sid = 0x0fdc using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' status 1f | signal 9088 | snr e128 | ber 00000000 | unc 0000000b | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 9088 | snr e128 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 9088 | snr e128 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK
and then do this
heinobl@xbmc:~/.szap$ dvbstream 0x0fdd 0x0fde -o > test1.mpeg dvbstream v0.7 - (C) Dave Chapman 2001-2004 Released under the GPL. Latest version available from http://www.linuxstb.org/ dvbstream will stop after -1 seconds (71582788 minutes) Output to stdout Streaming 1 stream
even though it tells me that its' streaming one stream test1.mpeg still remains at zero size. Not sure if this means that it's just a pay channel or if there is something wrong with the tuner.
anyone have any idea ?
thank you
Heino
