Unable to update TVheadend on Ubuntu Bionic

Added by Stephen Avis over 4 years ago

After more than a year of troublefree updating my TVH installation, I find that now when I execute a 'sudo apt update' I get the following error:

W: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/source/Sources' as repository 'https://apt.tvheadend.org/stable bionic InRelease' does not seem to provide it (sources.list entry misspelt?)

Here is my /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tvheadend.list:

 deb https://apt.tvheadend.org/stable bionic main
 deb-src https://apt.tvheadend.org/stable bionic main

My system is an updated (to a month or so ago) Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic headless server.

I have read the TVHeadend Downloadwiki page but I do not see what is wrong.

Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks for your very fast response.

Are you saying that the ubuntu bionic (18.04) deb packages are no longer valid and that I must therefore build TVheadend from source?

Building yourself mean that binary can have more options enabled.

I was hoping to avoid having to build from source.

Can anyone confirm the status of the Ubuntu 18.04 repository?

deb https://apt.tvheadend.org/stable bionic main
