HDHomerun Quattro not seen by TVHeadend

Added by Tony Self over 4 years ago

I am new to TVHeadend and have just installed it in a jail on my FreeNAS 11.3 installation.

The software installation went fine, but when I started my initial setup and configuration TVHeadend is not seeing my HDHomerun Quattro.

I know it's not a problem with the Quattro, as it was working fine with my Plex Media Server installation. I have deleted the Plex DVR, so the HDHomerun is no longer in use

Is there a way to get TVHeadend to scan the network again or is there a setting where I can point it to the IP address of the HDHomerun?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Tony Self

What version of TVH
is there a buildin support for HDHomerun in version you run?

the version is 4.2.8 for FreeBSD
I believe it is a version with support for HDHomerun built in as I found in /usr/local/bin a hdhomerun_config executable.
I have tried running "hdhomerun_config discover" at the command line and it returns "no devices found".
I know the HDHomerun is their because I can ping it and if I try to add DVR to my Plex server it recognises the HDHomerun straightaway

Check about page /togle details/
Also this is too old version

Thanks for your reply.

The "toggle details" is only giving me the following: -

Configure arguments:

There are far more rows of zeros. I assume this is not the expected result.

I am wondering whether this is a permissions problem?

I am also confused why you say that 4.2.8 is too old a version. Looking at the TVHeadend.org site 4.2 appears to be the latest stable version and I couldn't find a sub version later than 4.2.8
