Upgrade 4.2 to 4.3 - config changes

Apologies if this has been answered else where, but a search didn't give me clear answers.

If I upgrade from 4.2.8 to 4.3, do I have to manually make any changes to configuration etc., and will recordings be preserved?

TVH will create a backup tarball of your old config and save it, then it will automatically make any config changes for 4.3 if necessary. Recordings should be unaffected.
