LNB power save not working
Added by Just Me almost 5 years ago
I have Tvheadend running in a Debian Stretch VM.
The TV adapter is a DVBSKy S960.
Shouldn't the red LED go off after a while if power save is checked in the settings?
The DVBSKy is using 0.3 Watt if the VM is off and 4.4 to 6.3 Watt if it's on.

Is virtualization enable powersave?
Is driver support it?
Is bios settings set correctly?

Now it works.
After a view hours the power consumption went to 0.3 watt.
Also goes does down now immediately after stoop watching in "dream Player for TVheadend" on my Nvidia Shield and in MPC-HC on my workstation.
Is there a reason that it took so long?

The tuner is now again on since a view hour.
It seems like it's the grabber that is running a really long time.
So what to do?

Set it to 30 sec not 5 min timeout

Thanks for the hint. I didn't know this setting.
It was 600 seconds by default.

Sorry Maria Jonas, what do you mean?
The problem was that the grabber was running for hours...
