How to continue recording despite buffer or momentary skip?
Added by jim dods about 5 years ago
Hi all,
I have TVH server 4.3 running on RasPi. I have setup 2 network adapters, including one from my cable card, and one from open IPTV sources.
I am able to record fine from these sources. The issue I have is when recording, it seems a slight buffer or skip would cause the recording to stop right at that spot. So like yesterday, i was recording a game for 3 hours. At 90 minutes, there was some issue with the stream, likely a buffer, so when viewing it back, I could not view after that point.
Perhaps there is a setting in TVH where it can be allowed to tolerate errors or buffering for X seconds? Or something to that effect?
Any ideas?
Thanks

As a follow up. I think this has been solved by clicking "restart on error" under stream profiles.
I dont know if this is related, as i changed some other things as well, but now when i click on a channel to play, and there are multiple sources, if the first source is out, it does not automatically try the next channel source. I have "switch to another service" checked.
Any ideas?
