Where is my ac3 / Dolby
Added by Paul Meeke over 5 years ago
I have a pctv292e usb stick connected to tvheadend for receiving dvb-t /dvb-t2 broadcasts. Everything seems to work fine HD channels are picked up and tune fine. But my only issue seems to be the sound. No channels will play surround? I'm sure its something simple but of anyone can help in letting me know what i'm doing wrong I would be grateful.
I'm running version 4.3-1789~g6bfeca6c0
On a raspberry pi3+
uname -ao = Linux raspberrypi 4.19.37-v7+ #1216 SMP Thu May 2 13:32:40 BST 2019 armv7l GNU/Linux
cat /etc/*-release = PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)
dmesg can be found here http://paste.debian.net/1081984/
looking into /var/log/messages I have this info when starting a stream.

yeah seem to just have 2 streams. Audio descriptive and normal stereo.

Well it seems all is working. Not entirely sure if anything I changed made a difference, I was messing about with stream filters to see if that made a difference. But it seems my amp will now recognise to 5.1 streams.

Use Stream Filter to remove unneeded streams.
