IOS: HTTP Authentication when accessing Stream with disabled "default" user

Added by Johannes Ebner over 5 years ago

Hi,

I have created a user on TVHeadend including a password. Then I have deactivated the default user "*". With the newly created user I can login, see all channels, do recording and playback of recordings, but Live Stream is not working. I am getting on my iPhone a "username" and "pasword" popup incl. the message "HTTP authentication - Please enter a valid login name and a passwprd for realm tvheadend."

Any ideas?

Br,
Johannes

I think I found the issue.

Under Basic Settings I had the prefilled Servername "HTS/tvheadend". I removed the "HTS/" and now it is working.

If I switch from "Digest + Plain" to "Plain only" then it works with oine big drawpback. On IOS the VLC player is asking for the user/pass for every stream I start. It seems it doesnt take the settings from the TVHeadend app...
