TVHeadEnd automatically uses 2 adapters

Using Xubuntu 18.04

The scenario is I turn on my laptap that has the backend. I don`t open the 192.168.1.22:9981. Eventually both adapters are used with no human intervention preventing my to use any TV channels in Kodi. If I try to open the TV Channel in a browser I get the message Àn unknown error occurred.
How do I stop TVHeadEnd using the adapters or at least turn them off

I don't know how to stop Tvheadend using both tuners, although I expect there is a way to configure and somebody will be along to explain it. But what's the problem? Just use the tvh plugin in kodi and access the channels that way.
