Tvheadend does not search un-encrypted channels using Geniatech T230

Added by Adnan Hossain almost 6 years ago

Hi, I'm using a Geniatech T230 DVB-T/T2/C tuner.

In my home, I have a cable connection where I can directly plugin the cable to my tv and watch satellite channels. In this system, the service providers have all the receivers and they provide the connection to subscribers so that the subscribers do not have to buy any additional receiver to watch tv.

In this system, I can watch 70 channels in my tv. But when I tried to scan the channels from Tvheadend, I could see more than 200 channels but could not watch any of those, as those are encrypted. I understand, I need to buy additional box to watch those encrypted channels using Tvheadend.

But I'm fine with the channels those I can watch on my TV without the box, and just want to watch those channels using Tvheadend.

I cannot figure out how to search those channels on Tvheadend.

Please help me out.

I have a few of these USBs.

where are you based?

if you are in the UK you need a legit mux to scan first

also - make sure you don't just have the "encrypted channels" filter on

Thank you all.

I think I have understand the problem. My subscriber is providing me analog TV that is I can watch on my TV without any box. And I think they also provide digital signal that is encrypted and requires additional box. My TV tuner perhaps doesn't capcute the analog signal, and only can see the encrypted channel list.

Is this can be a reason?
