HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO
Added by Josu Lazkano about 6 years ago
Hello,
I have a Tvheadend server working with a RaspberryPi+minisatip to feed DVB-T channels.
I want to try with HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO: https://www.silicondust.com/product/hdhomerun-quatro-eu/
Is this hardware compatible with Tvheadend? Someone could recommend any other hardware for DVB-T?
I will really appreciate your help

You might want to investigate further. I'm using a RPi with USB Tuners, on DVB-T networks in England. When I try to add an HDHOMERUN DUO, it is recognised as two DVB-C devices so the only MUXs it offers are cable channels. You might hit a similar problem with the QUATRO.

Hi Greg,
I think there are two models, DVB-T and DVB-C.

Yes indeed but my HDHomerun Duo is DVB-T as I have been using it with mythtv, and with over-the-air transmissions. I don't know how to get TVHeadend to stop recognising it as DVB-C. I'm sure that there is a simple tweak somewhere.

Hello,
Maybe there is a option to select the device's tuners like SAT>IP devices:

Thanks - I missed that. Interestingly I've just installed tvheadend on a Ubuntu 18.04 (Intel) box, and it recognises the HDHomeRun Duo as DVB-T, straight away.
