saving column and other preferences in the GUI
Added by Dave H about 6 years ago
I like the way the EPG works, in that I can search the entire EPG in one hit and then see all relevant programmes and various other features.
I do get frustrated with column widths though. I haven't found any way to set columns to specific widths; I make one column wider and it makes all the others a bit smaller, then I make another column narrower and it makes all the others a bit wider, all in an attempt to make the columns the widths I want. Then I quit the WebUI and when I come back again, it's forgotten all my hard work.
Also, I hate the default limit of 50 entries per screen. I always have to go and select All entries per page every time I start the UI for every display.
Is there any way to preserve these settings that I have missed? And is there any easier way to set column widths (such as telling it to fit the content for certain columns or whatever)?

The GUI in this regard isn't at all user friendly, it's something that does need improving.

The other grids of the webui do remember column choices using cookies, this wasn't done to the EPG for one reason or other, I cannot remember why exactly.

Yes, this also needs a cookie, and should've been implemented but wasn't.

Oh well, thanks for confirming I hadn't missed anything
